OPTION 2: 10.00 or 17.30 :
Our English-speaking guide will pick you up from your hotel in the Old Quarter.
When visiting Hanoi, you should never miss the rice noodles with grilled pork (Bún Chả), a famous dish that even former US President Obama has tried. You might find Bún Chả in your own country, but in Hanoi, it is truly unique because it is prepared using a highly traditional recipe.
After that, you will try a Vietnamese baguette filled with mixed salad and pork (Bánh Mỳ Thịt). Although it appeared in Vietnam during the French colonial period, Vietnamese people have adapted it in a different way, giving it a uniquely distinct taste.
As we stroll leisurely through the Old Quarter, you will taste Bánh Cuốn (Steamed Rice Rolls), a traditional and deeply popular Vietnamese dish. The next stop on our Hanoi Street Food Tour will be Xôi Chè (Sticky Rice with Sweet Soup). On the way back, our guide will take you for a walk by Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple for some great photo opportunities.
Once you are done, the guide will take you to enjoy a Mixed Fruit Salad (Hoa Quả Dầm). Then, after a short walk to a local coffee shop, you will experience a very special drink called Egg Coffee (Cà Phê Trứng). Before the French came to Vietnam, locals traditionally only drank tea. The French introduced coffee trees to the country, and today, Hanoi's Old Quarter is filled with historic coffee shops that guard secret, family-inherited recipes.
You can stay a bit longer at the coffee shop to chat with our guide about Vietnamese culture. Before concluding the Hanoi Street Food Tour, our guide will escort you back to your hotel. We hope to see you on your next trip!
